How to Write a Blog Post With AI (Even If You're Not a Writer)
Not a writer? Here's the simple way I write blog posts with ChatGPT or Claude: pick one question, let AI draft it, make it yours, and publish.

A lot of people tell me the same thing: "I'd start a blog, but I'm not a writer." I get it. Staring at a blank page is the hardest part. The good news is you don't have to be a writer anymore. You need one good question, an AI helper like ChatGPT or Claude, and about fifteen minutes to make the post sound like you.
Here's the simple way I do it.
Why a blog post is still worth it
A post on social media is usually gone in a day or two. A blog post answers a question people type into Google, so it can keep getting found for months. And it lives on a page you own, next to your link page and your offers, instead of inside somebody else's app.
I learned the value of owning my stuff the hard way. For about ten years I built my business inside one company, and when it shut down I lost every contact. That's a big part of why I blog now.
Step 1: Pick one question
Don't start with a big topic like "affiliate marketing." Start with one question a real person asks. For example:
- How do I start affiliate marketing with no money?
- What is a lead magnet?
- How do I get traffic to my link for free?
One question, one post. If you're stuck, ask an AI helper for ten beginner questions in your topic and pick the one you'd answer in person.
Step 2: Let AI write the first draft
Tell ChatGPT or Claude what the post is about and who it's for. Ask it to write in plain, simple words, with short paragraphs, a few headings, and a short list of common questions at the end. Then read the preview.
You don't have to type it all out, either. You can talk it out with the microphone and let your browser turn your words into text.
Step 3: Make it yours
This is the part that matters most. AI gives you a draft, not your voice. Before you publish:
- Add one real thing from your life. A story, a lesson, a mistake you made. Never make one up.
- Check every fact. If it names a price, a rule or a number, make sure it's true today.
- Cut anything that sounds like hype. No promises about money or results.
- Read it out loud. If it doesn't sound like something you'd say, change it.
Step 4: Add a picture and publish (or schedule it)
Add one picture at the top, ideally one of you. Then publish it now, or schedule it for a day and time that fits you. Writing a few posts at once and scheduling them is an easy way to stay consistent.
How I do this inside GoBeaug Links
The blogging system in GoBeaug Links is built around these exact steps. When you write a new post, you type or say what it's about, tap a button, and ChatGPT or Claude opens with your request already typed in. You copy what it writes, paste it in, add a picture, and publish or schedule it. Every post gets the search basics filled in, a view count, comments, and share buttons. I wrote more about it in the blog system I use for free traffic and leads.
The blogging system comes with Pro. You can start free with GoBeaug Social and move up when you're ready.
Let's keep it honest
AI makes writing faster. It doesn't guarantee traffic, leads or sales. Those come from posting steadily, answering real questions, and pointing readers to a helpful next step. Results vary, and many people earn nothing.
Frequently asked questions
Will Google punish a blog post written with AI?
Google's focus is on whether a post is helpful and accurate for the person reading it. A post you've checked, made personal and actually useful is what you're aiming for, however you drafted it.
How long should a beginner's blog post be?
Long enough to fully answer the one question. For most beginner topics that's somewhere around 700 to 1,200 words.
Do I have to use ChatGPT, or can I use Claude?
Either works. Use the one you're comfortable with. What matters is that you check it and make it yours.
How often should I post?
As often as you can keep up. One helpful post a week is a fine start.
Your turn
Pick one question your customers keep asking you, and turn it into your first post this week. If you want a blog that sits on a page you own, take a look at GoBeaug Links, or start free with GoBeaug Social.
Results vary. Your results depend on your own effort, skills and situation, and many people earn nothing.
