Privacy Policy

1. Information you give us

• Your name, email address and the username you choose.
• Your password. We store it in a scrambled form that we cannot read.
• Profile details you choose to add: phone number, address, city, state, zip code, country, bio, and the email you use for your Gravatar photo.
• Social media handles, your list of businesses and links, and any blog posts you write.
• How you want to be paid: the PayPal email, Cash App name, Zelle details, Venmo name or Bitcoin address you enter.
• If you connect Stripe to receive card payments: your publishable key, and your Stripe key, which is locked (encrypted) before it is saved and never shown again.
• The transaction numbers and notes you send when you tell a sponsor you paid them, and your agreement to our terms, with the time you agreed.

2. Information collected automatically

• How many times your bio link page and referral site are viewed each day. We keep a count, not a list of visitors.
• Basic technical details your browser sends, such as device type and IP address, which our hosting providers may record in their logs for security and troubleshooting.
• Small files and browser storage that keep you logged in and remember your place in the back office.

We do not store your card number. Card details are entered on Stripe's secure form and go to Stripe, not to us.

3. How we use your information

• To create and run your account and show your pages.
• To take payments, record them, and confirm your membership.
• To show who your sponsor is, tell sponsors when someone joins or pays, and keep records of sales under the compensation plan.
• To send emails about your account, payments, renewals and program updates.
• To give support, prevent fraud and misuse, enforce our Terms, and meet legal requirements.
• To understand how the Service is used and improve it.

4. What other people can see

• Anyone can see what you put on your public pages: your name, photo, bio, social icons, links and published blog posts.
• Our public pages may show a short notice when someone joins or a member gets paid, and the Leaderboard ranks members. These show only a first name, the first letter of the last name, the date and, for a payment, the amount, and your profile photo only if you switch that on in My Profile. They never show an email or username. You can switch your name or your photo off in My Profile.
• If you leave a comment on a blog post, your name and your comment show on that post (a comment with a link waits for the author's OK), and the author is emailed what you wrote. We do not ask for your email address. We keep a random code in your browser to limit spam.
• People joining under a sponsor see that sponsor's photo, name, username and email, and the payment details the sponsor chose to accept. A sponsor's email can be hidden from that card if they ask us.
• Your sponsor can see your name, username, email and when you joined, and the transaction number and note you send when you pay them.
• Your phone number, address and password are not shown to the public or to other members.
• The owner of GoBeaug Links can see member records so the company can run the program, answer support requests and enforce the Terms.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only with companies that help us run the Service, and only what they need:

• Stripe, to take card payments.
• Our hosting and database providers, who store the Service and its data.
• An email delivery service, to send our emails.
• Your browser's own voice typing service (for example in Chrome or Safari), only if you tap the microphone button to talk instead of type. We never receive or keep your voice. We only get the words your browser types in for you.
• Gravatar, which supplies profile photos (your browser asks Gravatar for the picture), and Google Fonts, which supplies the fonts our pages use.
• Authorities or others when the law requires it, or to protect people, our rights or the Service.

If GoBeaug Links is ever sold or merged, your information may move to the new owner, who must honor this policy.

6. Keeping your information safe

We use secure connections, store passwords in a scrambled form, and lock members' payment keys before saving them. No system is perfectly safe, so we cannot promise absolute security. Please use a strong password and keep it private.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open and for as long as we need it for payment records, to settle disputes, for taxes and legal reasons, and to enforce our Terms. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or remove what identifies you.

8. Your choices

• You can see and change most of your details in My Profile.
• You can switch off any way of being paid in your Payment Center, and disconnect Stripe, which deletes your saved key.
• You can ask us to correct, give you a copy of, or delete your information, or to hide your email from the sponsor card, by emailing us. We will answer within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. We may keep what we must keep by law or for payment records.
• You can stop general program emails by emailing us. We will still send account and payment messages.

If you live in a state with its own privacy laws, you may have extra rights. Email us and we will help.

9. Children

The Service is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new date at the top, and tell you in the back office or by email if the change is important.
