Disclosure: I built GoBeaug Links, and I earn when someone joins through my link. Nobody gets paid just for joining.

If you're over 50 and you're looking for a side hustle, you're in the right place.

Maybe the bills went up, but your check didn't. Maybe retirement isn't stretching the way you thought it would. Maybe you've tried something online before, paid your money, and never saw a dime. And maybe part of you is thinking, I'm too old for all this computer stuff.

I get it. I'm 57. I retired after almost 30 years at UPS, and I still pick up gig work with Walmart Spark, DoorDash, Grubhub and Uber Eats. I'm not a tech guy. So I built something simple for people like us: GoBeaug Links, a $40-a-year membership with no monthly fees. In this post I'll walk you through exactly how it pays, with no hype.

You can follow along on the referral program page.

Quick facts

  • Cost: $40 for the whole year, the founding member price through January 1, 2027. From January 2, 2027, it's $120 a year.
  • Monthly fees: none. It does not renew automatically.
  • How the money splits: $20 to the company, and the rest straight to a member.
  • The pay plan: you keep your 1st, 3rd and every sale from your 5th on. Your 2nd and 4th pass up to your sponsor.
  • How you get paid: directly by the person who joins, through Cash App, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, card through Stripe, or Bitcoin.
  • What you get: your own link page, your own blog and your own referral site.

How the $40 is split

It's two payments. $20 goes to the company. The other $20 goes straight to the member who brought you in. Not to me. Not held by the company. Straight to that person.

And it does not renew automatically. No surprise charges showing up on your card a year from now.

Which sales you keep, and which pass up

Here's the whole plan, and it fits on one screen:

  • Your 1st sale: you keep the $20.
  • Your 2nd sale: passes up. The person and the money go to your sponsor.
  • Your 3rd sale: you keep the $20.
  • Your 4th sale: passes up, the person and the money.
  • Your 5th sale and every one after: you keep. $20 each time.

Tap each sale below and watch where the money goes. Use the switch at the top to see the same plan at $100 per sale.

A $40 membership. $20 goes to the company, $20 goes to a member, and one clear rule decides which member.

That's it. No levels. No points. No fine print. Your sponsor is simply the member you're assigned to when you join.

The part most people miss: your team's pass-ups come to you

Every person you keep (your 1st, your 3rd, and everybody from your 5th on) is on your team. When they make their 2nd and 4th sales, those pass up to you. The person and the money.

And the people who get passed up to you do the very same thing. Their 2nd and 4th sales come to you too. It keeps going, as deep as your team grows.

So you're not only paid on the people you bring in yourself. You're also paid on the 2nd and 4th sales of the people you keep.

What changes on January 2: $100 per sale

Starting January 2, 2027, the membership becomes $120 a year. $20 still goes to the company, but now $100 goes to a member. Same plan. Same rule. Flip the switch on the sale boxes above to From January 2: $100 per sale and tap through them again to see it.

Here's why that matters if you start now. Your sale count does not start over when the price goes up. Say you join as a founding member and you've already passed up your 2nd and 4th sales. Every person who joins through you after that (your 5th, your 6th, your 7th, on and on) is $100 to you instead of $20.

And the 2nd and 4th sales from your team that pass up to you? Those are $100 now too.

Same work. Five times as much per sale. The people who start now are the ones who'll be ready when that switch flips.

How you get paid

You decide how you get paid: Cash App, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, card through Stripe, or Bitcoin. You set it up in your Payment Center.

  • Cash App
  • Zelle
  • Venmo
  • PayPal
  • Stripe
  • Bitcoin

Members choose how they want to be paid in their Payment Center, and a new member pays their sponsor with one of those ways. Payment company names belong to their owners.

When somebody joins through you, they pay you directly. The money comes straight to you. No company holding your money. No waiting 30 days for a check. No minimum payout.

Good to know before you join

  • Your back office shows who you referred, your sales and what you earned. You can see it all.
  • The membership is one year. When your year is up, you renew yourself at the regular price, and you get a 10-day grace period.
  • Sales passed up to you don't count toward your own personal sale count.
  • A member who gets passed up to a sponsor stays with that sponsor.

Now let me be straight with you. Nobody gets paid just for joining. You only earn when somebody signs up through you. Some people won't make a dime. Results vary, and it comes down to your own effort. But if you're willing to put in a little work every day, this is a simple place to start.

Is this a good side hustle for you?

It may be a fit if:

  • You're tired of monthly fees and programs that hold your money.

You may want to skip it if:

  • You're looking for money without sharing anything with anybody. This only pays when people join through you.
