Don’t Waste Your Sevens — The Next Three Years Could Change Your Life!

The Mr. Woah Snap Blog | Blog #2 | Mindset Monday

By Jamal Rogers, also known as Mr. Woah Snap

WOAH SNAP! What’s going on, everybody!

Welcome back to my blog!

Today, I want to talk about something that’s been on my mind for the last couple of months.

2030.

Yeah, you heard me. The year 2030!

Now, some of you might be wondering, “Jamal, why are you already talking about 2030? We’re still in 2026!”

And that’s exactly why I’m talking about it.

Because time is moving, whether we’re ready or not.

Think about it. Every year, we celebrate New Year’s Eve. We count down to midnight. We make resolutions. We set goals. We tell ourselves this is going to be our year.

We’re going to get healthier. We’re going to save money. We’re going to start that business. We’re going to spend more time with family. We’re going to do all those things we’ve been putting off.

But here’s my question.

For the last couple of years, what has really changed in your life?

I’m not asking that to criticize anybody. I’m asking because I’ve been asking myself that same question.

Every Year We Make Goals. But Are We Making Changes?

Let’s go back for a minute.

Remember 2020?

Remember how everybody was talking about a new decade, a fresh start, and all the things they wanted to accomplish?

Well, look at us now.

We’re getting ready to enter 2027!

Seven years into the 2020s.

Where did the time go?

Think about everything that has changed since 2020. Technology, businesses, the way we communicate, the way we work, and the way we live.

The world keeps changing.

But here’s something I want you to think about.

Has your life been changing with it?

Are you moving closer to your dreams, or are you still talking about the same dreams you had five years ago?

And listen, I’m talking to myself too!

Why 2030?

I chose 2030 because I wanted to give myself something bigger to work toward than another New Year’s resolution.

Something that would keep me focused.

Something that would remind me every day that I don’t have forever to do the things I want to do.

We’re approaching a whole new decade.

And instead of waiting until December 31, 2029, to start thinking about the future, why not start preparing right now?

We have the rest of 2026, then 2027, 2028, and 2029.

Three full calendar years before 2030.

Think about what you could accomplish with that time if you really committed to yourself.

Not just for a week.

Not just for a month.

But consistently, over the next three years.

Don’t Waste Your Sevens!

Now, here’s something I’ve been talking about as part of my WS TakeOver.

DON’T WASTE YOUR SEVENS!

We all get seven days in a week.

Seven opportunities to work on ourselves.

Seven opportunities to learn something.

Seven opportunities to improve our health, strengthen our relationships, build something, or take one step closer to our goals.

And as we enter 2027, I want that number seven to mean something even more.

2027 is the seventh year after 2020.

So here’s my challenge.

Don’t waste your seven days. Don’t waste 2027. And don’t waste the next three years!

You don’t have to accomplish everything overnight.

But you do have to start somewhere.

Even if it’s just 25 minutes a day doing something meaningful for yourself.

Reading. Exercising. Learning. Creating. Planning. Building.

Whatever it is, make those minutes count.

Because time is one thing we can never get back.

I’m Making Some Changes in My Own Life

Now, I don’t want you to think I’m sitting here telling everybody what they need to do while I’m doing nothing myself.

No, no, no!

I’m on this journey with you.

I’m 52 years old, and I still have so much I want to accomplish.

I want to become healthier and stronger.

I want to continue growing mentally and spiritually.

I want to spend meaningful time with my wife and family.

I want to become more financially secure.

I want to keep building my businesses, creating content, learning new things, and helping other people succeed.

And most importantly, I want to enjoy life along the way.

Because what’s the point of working toward success if you never take time to enjoy the people and things that matter?

I’m not looking for perfection.

I’m looking for progress.

And that’s what I want for you too.

The World Is Going to Keep Changing

Here’s another reason I’m looking forward to 2030.

Look at how much has changed just in the last few years.

Artificial intelligence. Social media. Technology. Online businesses. The way people earn money. The way we connect with one another.

And I believe we’re going to see even more changes as we enter the 2030s.

Some changes will create opportunities. Others will create challenges.

But here’s what I don’t want.

I don’t want to look back in 2030 and realize I spent the last three years doing nothing to prepare myself.

I want to keep learning.

Keep adapting.

Keep growing.

And keep an open mind.

You don’t have to know everything about the future.

But you can start preparing yourself for it today.

What If We All Made One Promise to Ourselves?

Forget about making 20 New Year’s resolutions.

What if you made just one promise?

“By January 1, 2030, I want to be a better version of myself than I am today.”

That’s it!

Now, what that means to you might be different from what it means to me.

Maybe you want to lose weight or improve your health.

Maybe you want to get out of debt.

Maybe you want to start a business.

Maybe you want to go back to school.

Maybe you want to repair a relationship, spend more time with family, strengthen your faith, or finally take that trip you’ve been talking about.

Whatever it is, make it personal.

Make it meaningful.

And make a commitment to yourself.

Because here’s something I truly believe.

You can change a whole lot in three years when you stop wasting time and start taking action.

WS = We Still Going!

If there’s one thing I want you to take away from today’s blog, it’s this:

Don’t give up on yourself.

I don’t care if you’re 25, 35, 45, 55, 65, or older.

You still have something to offer.

You still have dreams worth pursuing.

You still have opportunities to grow.

And just because things didn’t work out the way you wanted in the past doesn’t mean they can’t work out differently in the future.

That’s why I say:

WS = We Still Going!

We’re still learning.

We’re still growing.

We’re still believing.

And we’re still moving forward.

Not you. Not me. But WE!

Let’s Get Ready for the 2030s!

So as we get ready to enter 2027, I want you to start thinking about the next three years.

Not just the next three days.

Not just the next three weeks.

The next three years.

What do you want your life to look like when the clock strikes midnight on January 1, 2030?

Where do you want to be physically?

Mentally?

Spiritually?

Financially?

And what kind of relationships do you want to have with the people you love?

You don’t need to have every answer today.

But you do need to start asking yourself the questions.

Because 2030 is coming whether we’re ready or not.

And when that new decade arrives, I want us to be able to look back and say:

“I didn’t waste my time. I didn’t give up on myself. I made a commitment, and I kept moving forward.”

That’s what this journey is all about.

And that’s why I’m looking forward to 2030!

DON’T WASTE YOUR SEVENS!

WS = WE STILL GOING!

WOAH SNAP! 💥

⸻

Let’s Talk About It!

I want to hear from you.

If you could change ONE thing about your life before January 1, 2030, what would it be?

Your health? Your finances? Your mindset? Your relationships? Your career?

Leave a comment. Let’s have a conversation.

And remember, you don’t have to wait for a new year to start a new chapter.

Your next chapter can start today!
